It is such a beautiful morning that it was a pleasure to run out to the driveway to pick up my Sunday NY Post and NY Times. Of course, look who came with me — Tulip, Petunia and my new lil dumplin’ (whose name will be revealed on QUILT OUT LOUD).
Petunia loves to help me get the chickens out of the coop. Those babies have all grown up (we have 3 little ones left from the last clutch).
Now, I just got a new MacBook Pro and I was playing with the new video editing software (I don’t know about you, but why read the instructions?). I sure didn’t know how to edit these tapes so the audio and video is a bit choppy but you’ll get so see some of Pickle Road today!
And, as a waiter in a Mexican restaurant once told me, which I’ll now pass onto you — En-yoy! xoxom

I didn’t know Petunia was a long haired chihuahua…we have one of those (nasty little animal! LOL) but he looks just like yours, except older!

We LOVE Petunia! She is THE SWEETEST — shy, cuddly, quiet. Number 3 was a toss up between another Tulip or another Petunia. I was at MQX when the pug was born so she won out! xoxom

Elmo can totally be cuddly when he wants to but he can turn on a moments notice…he does however LOVE to wrap and roll himself into my quilts…even ones that are still be hand quilted!!

That puppy is so stinkin cute! Her face is precious, and you can just see how much personality she has And Petunia grew so much. And well, Tulip, she is a queen!

This came out great, Mark! Are you loving the Mac yet? The girls look so cute playing together, although I notice that Tulip carries the queenly label quite seriously. Maybe she’s just too old and lady-like to let her hair down to race around with the younger ones…

Awwww, so that’s the new puppy’s name … “Trouble” (as in “here comes Trouble”). Gorgeous landscaping.

Oh, Mark. You make chicken-keeping look so easy. I’ll be trying my hand at this in a few weeks. May have summer eggs and winter cacciatore….but I hope not. You have 3 sensible sized dogs…I have 4 big ones…labs, pyrenees, but no foxes, no coyotes and no raccoons. Keep those fun videos coming. Glad you got to relax this weekend. Looking forward to QNN.

Oh, God, a total overdose of CUTE!!
How adorable you new baby is — and how Queenly Tulip! Petunia seems like a really nice kiddo, too — and the chickens are GREAT! Pickle Road looks like a very nice address — bet you love it there!

Believe me long haired Chis are better natured! We took care of both kinds for my Great Aunt years ago.
But did anyone hear about the 4 Chis chasing a cougar out of their yard up around Portland,Oregon?
And before that 1 Chi chased a cougar out of their yard & away from their other dog buddy in the yard.Only in Oregon!!!

Mark,
Just got back from an awesome vacation. Hope you had a great 4th. Your girls are so cute & I love the chicken house. You’ve just got to love those chickens! Have you found out that they all have their very own different personalities? In my previous life – I had 36 and shot up the whole chicken house trying to hit a possum one night! Hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
