The Cutest Creamer EVER!

I HAVE to have one . . .

I had a cup of coffee this morning and just look at THE cutest little creamer that they served with each cup o’joe.

Of COURSE, I asked if I could buy one.

No such luck …

…says the waitress hagzilla who kept me from my lil’creamer bliss.

So here’s a pic of the bottom of the thing so I can begin my great tiny creamer search –

I will NOT be denied! xoxom

That’ll teach you! Next time put one in your man-bag/pocket/laptop bag when the coffee she-hag turns around.

I would go back and ask for the manager. I’m sure they would sell you one.

Syracuse Pottery has shut down (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syracuse_China). They were purchased by Libbey and the creamer seems to be sold in quantities of 12 to the restaurant industry(http://www.libbey.com/content/view/103/184/). Know anyone who owns a diner?

My beloved mother was rather notorious in our family for her sugar-and-creamer sets that were eerily similar to those in her favorite restaurants. She carried a big old purse too.

Oh it’s good to find another “creamer” fanatic! I was in Japan about 4 years ago, at the Swissotel Nankai in Osaka. Every morning I had wonderful coffee, with the most stunning, egshell-thin porcelain creamer that fit in the palm of my hand like it was MADE for me. I loved that thing. LOVED it. L-O-V-E-D it, and was too shy to ask about getting one for myself. I knew if I pinched it that it would probably shatter on the way home (bad karma!) but I still think about it and WISH I had one. Good luck finding yours – Ebay should have one, I”m sure!

Talk to the manager. Don’t bother with the peons. The manager will realize that customer service is everything!

You may be able to find it at a restaurant supply store in NJ since it is stock restaurant china. Syracuse makes it for a lot of the big hotel chains.

    Mark,
A restaurant supply house should have them but buying just one could be a problem. A High school boyfriend and I were his Dad’s “secret diners” as he owned a supply house. The Dad gave me a set of individual tea pot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and creamer by Syracuse after I gave up my “famous” cheesecake recipe to his restaurant customer who served us the worst cheesecake ever! LOL
I occasionally come across Syracuse China at resale shops and antique stores as well. I admit to adding to my set when I suffered horrendous service at new hotel in AL and brought home the cutest little sugar packet holder. It was too irresistible and since I barely got one meal for the whole week-end I swiped on my way out the last morning. Bad girl.

sure miss you in the magazine, people asked about you at Honey Bee Quilts in Austin , TX yesterday (saturday June 5th)……………thanks fo rbeing you
