Great show!! I got an unwanted member to leave a guild by telling her she had to follow the same rules as everyone else. Of course the rule was instituted because of the way she did things! It made her so mad she left the guild of her own accord!

Mark, Awesome show! The Tula Pink fabric at Walmart is really crappy – the hand is awful, the colors anemic -but the design was pretty. I was so happy to hear about Tula and to learn about her website. I waited to talk with Sylvia but you ran out of time…so I will try again on your next show with her. Again, loved the show!!!!!

Great show, Lipinski! I was so glad you interviewed Tula Pink as I had been trying to defend her all week on my online guild. Some hard-headed folks there! Which really segued into the whole kicking someone out so nicely! ; )

      Loved the show! 🙂

It’s a shame about what happened to Tula Pink. Unfortunately, Walmart has a habit of selling knockoffs. For example, Teva, a shoe company here in Arizona, successfully sued them for selling cheap copies of their trademark sandals. Kudos to the folks on Twitter who spoke out against Walmart in Tula’s behalf. Often bad publicity is more effective than a lawsuit, especially when you’re dealing with a corporation with pockets as deep as Walmart’s.

If you’re looking to get into circular knitting needles, these are the best out there: http://www.knitpicks.com/needles/Interchangeable_Circular_Knitting_Needle_Tips_Cables__L300312.html. The cable has no “memory”, so it doesn’t kink or twist on you. You have to soak most circular needles in hot water to get the kinks out of the cables before you can use them. These you can use right out of the package. Plus, you gotta love the purple cables and accessories. 😉

As for how you use them, when you’re knitting in the round it’s just like using double-pointed needles except that you don’t have to keep switching out needles. If you’re knitting a flat piece, you just knit to the end of your row and then turn the whole shebang around and start knitting the next row. There’s no need to be scared of them — many knitters find them easier to use than double-points or straight needles.
