The reason I’m so satisfied with my vacuum is because I don’t have to use it. I pay someone else to do it.

It’s not the vacuums’ fault………..it’s the operator. I just don’t like to vacuum, much prefer my hardwood floors.

I have one very old electrolux and one newer one. Just don’t think either cleans as well as they should, especially in my sewing room!

I have a small shop-vac & it is wonderful. It gets the cat hair, the little threads that, being a quilter, are *everywhere* & if I need it to, it can even vacuum up water! 🙂

Meh, it’s a vacuum. It does the job without annoying me too much.

I love it because my husband, who does all the vacuuming, asked me one day “Do you mind if I buy a new vacuum?”

I’m afraid of it. It’s blown up before, it’s burned rubber, but it works (after 3 hospital calls)!!

I have a Roomba for the first floor and an Oreck for upstairs. I love them both! I don’t have to carry a vacuum up and down the stairs this way.

My vacuum cleaner really sucks, literally! I bought the Dyson “animal”to remove all the cat hair. A week after I paid $$$ for it the cat died! Maybe I wasn’t supposed to use it on the cat???

I’m this is an interesting question. Can’t wait to see the article about this. My vaccuum is not the problem in my house, it is the rugs fault.

Love the way mine works: my husband does all of the vacuuming. And you know that a pug makes for lots of hair to pick up.

It’s old, heavy and it doesn’t have any suction left. But a new one cost more than I want to pay right now. I have heard good things about the Dyson, but Wow! The price is a killer.

I have my Mother-in-Law’s old Sears Cannister. It works but it is definately old. We have 4 in house dogs and it does not always suck very well. But it is better than not having one at all.Have a Dustbuster too, it does good for small stuff.Grumble,grumble- one should be happy!!!

I have 3…one for upstairs, one for downstairs and my roomba which I really like!
I have a cannister electrolux….old warrior uses bags but works great
I have a cheap Eureka upright that I bought at Costco that is unreal. I bought it so I wouldn’t have to drag one up and down the steps, but it is powerful little thing…
Oops make that 5…I forgot about the Electrolux slimline or something like that – it has a removal hand held like a dust buster…it is a okay for spilled cereal or whatever
Then there is some little electric broom like thing that husband bought for the “man cave”….we won’t go there
Best deal per my neighbor (3 cats and a dog) is to buy your vacuum from Costco because they always take them back no questions…she said she can’t keep up with the number they have returned and then replaced because they have killed them with cat hair…

I am not ashamed: I own a lightweight Dyson. I have RA. It weighs 15 lbs. It never breaks. It’s easy to empty and easy to clean. I am enamoured!!

My Dyson Animal is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. It picks up cat hair soooo well. And the purple color almost makes vacumming fun!

We installed a central vac system when we were building our house. I hook the 30-foot long hose to a socket in the wall and only have to drag around whichever attachment I want to use. The great thing is that it dumps “stuff” in a canister in the basement, then exhausts the air (and ultra-fine dust) outside.

I have a Kirby that really SUCKS. It gets everything up quickly. The beater bar is easy to get off to clean all the threads out. It’s the first vacuum I really like.

I bought a Dyson a few years ago and it’s the best vacuum I’ve ever used (and I’ve owned a lot of vacuum cleaners over the years).
