Hari Cari

We are now officially into the second week without landline phones, TV and the Internet. I’ll get to blogging as soon as we get some juice. I thought we were sure to have it by this weekend! Guess not! Stay tuned! xoxom

I know how frustrating it can be but it is rather nice in a strange way.
We always have this happen in the dead of winter and you pull from the pioneering spirit the ability to sew by an oil lamp while wrapped in several blankets. Fixing food to keep freezing bodies warm and water for all necessities. It really does us good to realize how good we have it and just a little patience and we will dive right back into the craziness of our world today. All I need to hear is a forecast of bad weather and I am
the first in line at the grocery and then I am the one so disappointed that I didn’t get to try my frontier ways of survival. You are sure thought of and all of our best wishes for you. That was a bad hurricane and could have been so much worse. Thinking of you!

We are so used to having all that technology that I know I feel lost without it. Hope you get it back soon, Mark. But being without electricity for extended periods is the worst (no water pump, no heat, no A/C, no fridge)…..which is why we sprung for a whole house generator some years ago. Living out in the country as we do, it’s been a lifesaver many times.
