Psychic Medium

About Silvia:

Silvia Rossi is a modern-day Psychic-Medium who has experienced communications from the spirit side throughout her life. As a toddler she saw “shadows” in the room and as a young teen she saw “people” at the foot of her bed. Silvia was born with a gift that filled her days with images and information about people she would come into contact with.

Unsure of what these apparitions of the deceased meant, Silvia tried to ignore and even suppress the powers she possessed. Through her teens and while she attended college and graduate school these spirits became more and more persistent in their behavior and their need to communicate through Silvia. In her mid twenties while attending intense meditation classes, Silvia met a man who became her mentor and guide within the spiritual world. It was at this time that Silvia began to understand that all of these experiences she was having were proof that not only did Life exist beyond what we call death, but also this life was only one phase in the eternal journey of the soul.

Silvia understands that she has been chosen as a conduit between “this life” and the spiritual world and she feels obligated to use and share her gift to bring comfort, information and sometimes closure with the messages she receives from the spiritual world, to those here around her.

During the past 21 years Silvia has hosted her own Radio Show, Make Contact With Silvia Rossi, appeared on the Sally Jessy Rafael Show and has been a guest and co- host on the radio show Creative Mojo with Mark Lipinski. Silvia conducts workshops to teach others on  how to understand and better their connection to the spirit world. She has worked with the police, helping them solve cold cases and murder cases. Silvia had the difficult task and honor of working with families and support groups of the victims of September 11th.  Throughout the years Silvia has developed a loyal following.

Silvia met John Edward at a workshop he conducted in 2003 and he was thoroughly impressed with her abilities after she relayed a message from the spirit world to an audience member at his event.

She has had the privilege of working with many psychologists in the tri-state area who continue to refer their patients to her when conventional methods have failed. She conducts her practice out of offices in New York City and New Jersey.

Silvia has made it her mission to help individuals and families understand their eternal connection to loved ones that have passed on; bringing relief and comfort to the countless who have been touched by her gift.

Currently, Silvia lives with her family in New Jersey and enjoys lecturing, teaching. On occasion, she indulges in her favorite past time, performing at local nightclubs singing and playing her guitar.

cheryl potter

About Cheryl:

Cheryl Potter’s love for knitting began at age eight when she created a lime green-and-yellow striped T-shirt with a sparkle yarn called Dazzle Working part time for various yarn shops, she knit her way through Middlebury Collage in Vermont. In graduate school she was heavily influenced by Kaffe Fassett, who inspired her first set of hand-dyed colorways.

After earning her master of fine arts degree at the University of Arizona, Cheryl returned to Vermont and founded a hand-painted yarn company called Cherry Tree Hill, the name of her mountaintop farm. In an old milk house, she dyed and designed wearable art garments until she was discovered by Interweave Knits magazine in 1997. Cherry Tree Hill yarns are now sold in hundreds of stores all over the world, and Cheryl’s work regularly appears in magazines and catalogs, as well as on television. Today she is best known for her innovative colorways, painted on a variety of natural and synthetic fibers.

During her years as a fiber artist Cheryl has been a prolific writer and teacher of workshops that focus on fiber, color and texture. Her first published book in the field is called Handpaint Country, and was done with the photography skills of Alexis Xenakis. The most recent, Skein for Skein is her sixth book. She’s working now on an E-book Called Potluck yarn that’s free to read online at Come to to see her work or read her blog.

Cheryl’s New Book Combo . . .

The Broken Circle: Yarns of the Knitting Witches (Potluck Yarn Trilogy, Book 1)

The Broken Circle is the first book in the Potluck Yarn trilogy by Cheryl Potter. Combining Fantasy with fiber, and including patterns to guide young readers in making the magical garments worn by the characters, Potter spins a tale redolent with magic and layered with themes of friendship, loyalty, good vs. evil, the value of natural resources, the meaning and texture of courage, and even mortality. Follow the twelve knitting witches through adventures fraught with mayhem and mischief and knit your way through 21 patters as the Potluck witches seek to save their world. Twenty Years have passed since the fire beneath the great dyepot was lit and the circle was complete. Now, the folk of the Middlelands face a danger worse than any can remember. Darkness and chaos threaten to destroy the delicate balance of the natural world, and the magic of the dye crystals that have always been a way of life and a great source of power for the people has been outlawed. Readers age 11 and up will find themselves engrossed by this fanciful cross-over tale of magic and mayhem.

Knitting Patterns inspired by Book One of the Potluck Yarn Trilogy

Television Personality, Designer, Author

Quilts of Valor Foundation Board Member

About Marianne:

I serve as liaison between Quilts of Valor Foundation and the quilting industry. My involvement with QOVF began in 2008 when I met Catherine Roberts in person at International Quilt Festival in Houston. QOVF allows me to express my patriotism in a way I can understand, by making red, white, and blue quilts, giving them to military service members touched by war, and encouraging others to do the same. As a person in the quilting industry, I view QOVF, and the Under Our Wings program I helped create, as a way to draw new quilters to our hobby. Many people start quilting because they wish to make a quilt for a special reason. I believe many Americans would love to make a quilt for a combat veteran but don’t know how. My personal mission is to encourage avid quilters to take non-quilters under their wings to help them make a Quilt of Valor.

You can contact me by email at I look forward hearing from you.

I just got this today, March 6. Sharon

    • March 15, 2014 at 7:53 AM #

I’m not sure why that’s a problem? It’s a live show on Wednesdays, with a lot of prior promotion, and I post the podcast within the next week as it’s not timely. I would LOVE to hear your opinion on this, Sharon. If I can do something better, I’m all ears! Please get back to me! 🙂 xoxom
