YOKE DU YOUR

An old man went to the Doctor complaining that his wife could barely hear. The Doctor suggested a test to find out the extent of the problem.

giphy-2.gif

“Stand far behind her and ask her a question, and then slowly move up and see how far away you are when she first responds.”

The old man excited to finally be working on a solution for the problem, runs home and sees his wife preparing supper.

” Honey” the man asks standing around 20 feet away “whats for supper?” After receiving no response he tried it again 15 feet away, and again no response. Then again at 10 feet away and again no response. Finally he was 5 feet away “honey whats for supper?”

She replies “For the fourth time it’s turkey!”

This is a beautiful multi-faceted paperweight style Kosta perfume bottle by Swedish glass master Jan-Erik Ritzman. The beauty of the bottle resides in the enclosed pink flower at its base which is surrounded by wisps of green simulating leaves. The bottle is well complemented by a clear cut hexagonal stopper.

Alberta Ferretti‘s limited-edition spring 2016

From Glamour: “Alberta Ferretti’s limited-edition evening collection for spring 2016 is priced approximately 25 to 30 percent higher than her signature range, per WWD, and is made with the most elegant of events in mind. In other words, add Queen Maxima’s pearl-and-diamond tiara and you’re ready to go.”  Tres Rococo, oui?

MUST HAVE

“Spiralental” Hundertwasser Modern Ceramic Fruit Bowl

HUNDERTWASSER.jpg

A large, impressive ceramic bowl, titled “Spiralental” by the Austrian artist, architect, and visionary Friedensreich Hundertwasser ((1928-2000). Wildly imaginative, Hundertwasser was known for his organic and irregular forms and use of bright colors. He championed against the straight line and functional architecture preferring to use the spiral in his work.

FRUIT BOWL.jpg

This bowl is titled, dated and numbered 899/2000. A limited edition piece published by Rosenthal, Germany and marked with their stamp. A very sculptural and ingenious bowl, the use of silver and gold lustre glazes gives it a radiance reminiscent of the Wiener Werkstatte.
