THE BEST SPICY SHRIMP PASTA

Ingredients: 

• medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
• kosher salt
• crushed red pepper flakes (or more to taste)
• olive oil
• yellow onion, quartered and thinly sliced
• Anaheim or Cubanelle pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
• garlic, minced
• dry white wine
• diced fire roasted tomatoes

• dried basil leaves

MICHAEL KOCZAN   Age 54, of Green Tree, on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Beloved son of Michael George and the late Loretta A. (DeRose) Koczan; dear brother of Paula A., Robert A., and Mary Koczan; loving uncle of Brendan Dazen, Megan Jones, Shane Dazen, Robert A. Koczan, Jr., Garrett Koczan and Nicole Koczan; nephew of Joseph DeRose and Jeanette Koczan; best friend of his beloved Rottweiler, Rex. Michael fought a long battle with Polycystic kidney and heart disease. He loved music, was an avid Pirates fan and served two years at Fort Hood, Texas, with the 2nd Squadron/1st Cav. Blackhawks.

Michael is my cousin, who like my his mother and my mother (both who died from Polycystic Kidney Disease), and myself, suffered with this hereditary disease.  He was unable to find a transplant.

As always, THANK YOU to Mary Eichler whose selflessness literally saved my life through the donation of her kidney.
