I’m partnering with Berwick Offray Ribbon (the largest and most popular ribbon manufacturer in the world) for upcoming projects and designs for crafters and quilters! Just wait until you see what I have up my sleeve!
I’ll be at CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) SuperShow in Anaheim, California this weekend and early next week! See you there! xoxom

My daughter is getting to go to Anaheim for the show. I told her I am now Officially Really Jealous. She is the art director for Sew Beautiful Magazine, and their issue out right now is all ribbons. I’m glad to see what you’re up to.

You will bring new life to the ribbon industry. I know many stores eliminated or cut back on their ribbon inventory, so it will be interesting to see what you come up with to revive the interest in ribbon.

You’ve been to Berwick and haven’t stopped in?? Well, I do live out by the “twin towers” so it may be a bit intimidating (but you should see the size of the eggs my chickens lay ). They’ll love you at CHA, come back with some great stories.

I was out double-checking what magazines “New Track Media” now publishes and under the CK Media link, their home page still shows “Mark Lipinski’s Quilter’s Home Magazine, and has a big picture of you and Tulip on a quilt. What gives…this seems like a deceptive practice?
Just curious — I have cancelled any subscriptions to quilting magazines, QNNTv, Quilter’s Club of America and Fons and Porter just because I don’t like what they did to you and how they do business. Leaves more quilting time anyways!

Quilters Home came yesterday. So only just realized you are no longer affiliated with them. I won’t be renewing my subscription either. You were the reason I subscribed in the first place. The reason I watch Quilting Out Loud. Good luck in in the ribbon world. I will be looking for news of you on the internet and in the quilting/craft world.

I also just found out with the arrival of the Feb/Mar issue yesterday and have been spending all morning trying to find out WHAT HAPPENED!!! There will be a lot of subscriptions cancelled!!!!!! still don’t know what happened othe than you resigned…..Is that true?

I just got the Feb./Mar. 2010 issue of Quilter’s Home and realized that you were no longer there! 😦 I’ve just renewed my subscription too. Fortunately, I haven’t paid for it yet, so when I get the bill I’ll return it marked “CANCEL!” The magazine won’t be the same without you. It was the last needlework magazine I was subscribing to — I was keeping that one because of your wonderful sense of humor. I probably won’t even save this issue — as soon as I’ve read it, it’s going in the recycle bin.
I’ve bookmarked your blog and your website, and look forward to any new projects you may have in the works. I hope you do another magazine — maybe an online one so you don’t have to deal with nasty publishers? 😉

I feel like I fell off the planet!!!
Just received the Feb/March issue of Quilter’s Home and couldn’t wait to read your crazy articles. Kept looking and looking, but no Mark. Checked out back issues and saw the company’s names had changed….so off to the Internet I went. So sorry to see you were gone….where was I for the last few months….oh yeah….my husband and I took our first cruise together after 30+ years, so I did have other things than quilting on my mind.
YOU were the reason I subscribed to the mag and I won’t be renewing my subscription. Just hope you will find your way back into writing again….always looked so forward to what was next on your list. You made me smile so many times…..so thank you for that and I wish you only the best for the future…..I pray it won’t be the last time we hear from you!

Just got my Quilter’s Home and boy am I uh, pissed. Where is Mark? Where are Mark’s dogs? Searching questions as in a childrens’ book. So I went on line, and got confirmation. Kee-rap. I really enjoyed your fun cheery voice via magazine. I hope to follow you here on your blog. Please take pity, there are those of us in withdrawal!! And in Mark style, I wish you could dish about what happened. Some seem to know, I am out of the loop, but wish you well (and your enemies unwell). And uh, can you make them make ribbon that is washable and colorfast? Loved your magazine, not sure about Markless impostor.

Wow – I already sent you a message but I want to post this to your wall. I only read QH because of you. I got the biggest kick from that magazine and I especially loved your review of gadgets. My friend bought me a subscription for my birthday and it began in November. It was about that time that I became aware that you would no longer be associated with this magazine. Poop. I received your magazine this morning in the mail. Coffee in hand to the couch I went, for my cover to cover therapy! The magazine did not feel like you so I had to do some research to find out just now after reading the whole magagize that you had left the magazine and Quilt Out Loud from this site.
One side of me is very happy for anyone that can branch and grow and take on new endeavors. The other side is absolutely heart broken. I am a fairly new to the quilting world and found quilters home by accident and was completely hooked. I told EVERYONE about this magazine and 4 people in my guild subscribed. Had them hooked also. I just renewed last week! Today I find out that it is no longer your magazine. I just got the subscription in November to quilt out loud and bought one for a friend. I noticed you were not on during the holidays I thought you were spending time with you Evan. But you were back in a few of the January episodes. Now I just read you left that also. 8^{
I only read and watched for your sense of forwardness and awesome attitude toward life and all it entails. I wish you the best, but know it is with sadness.

I just picked up the February/March Quilters’ Home magazine and I was so disappointed that you were no where to be found in the magazine. It is the last time I will buy that magazine. You were the magazine and it is nothing without you. Good luck with everything you do in the future.

I too am slow to this info. When I received this months mag, I knew something was wrong, so I started looking for XOXOXOM and saw none.
I simply fell in love with you when I saw you in Houston at School House and you were telling us the gurdle story when you had to go to a funeral…I laughed so hard I wet on myself! (not too unusual for an old gal my age).
Very disappointed!! and I have another year to go on my subscription.
Here’s hoping QH doesn’t turn into just another ‘pattern rag with show and tell’ magazine like ALL the others.

Oh NO!! I knew there was something wrong with my quilting magazine! I kept looking for your column – nothing! Checked the cover, saw your name gone, figured out something was up – I am disappointed for, like many other quilters, I bought the magazine because of your upbeat attitude. I am a new quilter and your magazine was the first one I tried, loved it and subscribed. I will keep my subscription, but will not renew. I will wait, instead, for your new venture – you will be writing again, right?

I got my new magazine and the first thing I noticed is — no Mark picture on the front or the doggies…so I thought to myself..they are are the back this time. NOPE…not there either. Okay there will be an article which explains why this change, so I began to look and I looked and I looked and continued to tell myself– Mark will be on the next page and I will be able to breath again, but NOPE , no Mark. I got clear to the last page and there was no mention of MY MARK or his family or his dogs or his opinion or his current giggle. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED. I looked forward to Mark in each issue and now I no longer can get MY FIX. I had not renewed any quilt magazines but his, and now his is GONE too.. PHOOEY ! I started my day bummed out. Just got my new issue of QH, and was very saddened to see you’re no longer with them! As a manufacturer in the Scrapbooking world, we deal with NTM all the time (especially on the CKC show circuit). We chose not to do CHA this year, and now I’m bummed you were there, and I wasn’t!!! Will have to check out your schedule and see if we can meet on the road sometime. Love you, Love the dogs. I had a difficult day and couldn’t wait to sit down with your magazine so that I could LOL!! But..”Where’s Mark?” I screamed. After stomping throughout the house, I found myself at the computer to do a little research. I don’t know what happened. I just hope you are doing what makes your life worthwhile. Bummer! I’m in withdrawal already without your smiling face on Quilter’s Home. The only reason I subscribed to it was because of you and your sense-of-humor approach to quilting. I’m cancelling my subscription and anxiously awaiting any project you are connected with.
I love ribbon art and already have several books on the subject. I can’t wait to see the Ribbon Revolution led by Mark!

I am aware that some addictions can be dangerous, but the addiction to your style and humour was so comforting. I miss your touch. Your connection to so many quilters through your writing is phenomenal. Quilters Home is so disapointing without you. I (and it seems many, many others) miss you so much. I am so glad I checked your blog, because I did not understand why you had disappeared from the magizine. I loved the whole “dude” thing because I live in a surfing community. I have a question–I have a pull-out card to be “charter” subscriber to “Mark Lipinski’s Quilter’s Home”–is this a new magazine that you have started–or is this the same (but not the same without you) Quilter’s Home that I unfortunately just renewed for two years? Martha’s always on the front of her magazine. So is Oprah. Where’s Mark? I wasn’t sure I even had the right magazine. In a single issue, it’s lost its edge – it’s missing your ability to look up over the sewing machine and throw out a few zingers and keep us laughing and smiling. The February/March issue is my last – the only remnant of you is the blow-in subscription card that still promises that we can “join Mark as he shares his passion and excitement for quilting…”. The tag line still says “The only magazine for quilters that’s fun to read.” Two broken promises. Without you, your old magazine has turned into its own cheap imitation. I wish you all the best. And I wish us more of your inspiration, innovation, and cheekiness.

Now I don’t feel like such an idiot. I also settled in to read by QH cover-to-cover when I discovered no Mark!!!!!!! Also as many others I had just renewed my subscription for 2 years. Mark, you are an awesome individual. You bring joy to all who take the time to read/listen what you have to say. Yours was the only magazine thata I did read every page. I’m trying to figure out how to cancel and get a refund. Good luck in all your endeavors and please keep your fans informed. Something smells a little fishy here when a figure like you just vanishes off the face of the quilting world. Best wishes. k

So there is a reason why you aren’t on the front cover. I thought it was odd. The QH-ML=0 (I’m a retired math teacher) and that’s what it seems like. The fun is gone please e-mail me & tell me you have a new one in the works with the same outrageous humor that I love. You made my day. I feel the same way as all the others on this blog. I bought QH because it WAS you, I joined QNN because it was you. Now, I’ll just cancel QH though I have two years left, and stick it out with QNN. You were refreshingly and quirkingly funny. And, I don’t normally follow public personalities. Best of luck to you!
